Core Values

Children First – The SCYFA will make decisions and govern its affairs in a manner that makes the boys and girls we serve the top priority at all times. No other priority can be allowed to supersede the safety, well-being and holistic development of the young people in our care.

Character and Integrity – The SCFYA will always do business in a manner that is ethical, transparent and fair to all stakeholders. The Board of Directors, Coaches, Parents and Volunteers will set a standard for character and integrity that the young people can follow.

Honesty and Transparency – The SCYFA will conduct its affairs in an honest and open fashion, with all appropriate documentation, financial records and relevant information made available to the Association’s stakeholders. Meetings and other business shall be public and in accordance with the bylaws of this organization and all applicable laws and school district policies.

Fiscal Responsibility – The SCYFA is a donor-driven non-profit and will be good stewards of the Association’s financial, intellectual and in-kind resources. We will manage the finances of the organization in the most efficient and frugal manner possible, ever mindful of our accountability to our parents and the community.

Respect for The Individual – The SCYFA is an organization of people – coaches, parents, players, cheerleaders, school administrators, board members and volunteers – each of whom deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. We will use words that build one another up and promote civility across the organization at all times.

Patriot Pride The SCYFA is affiliated with Sandy Creek High School, one of the top high schools in the area, both academically and athletically. We will comply with school district policy, add value to the Sandy Creek community wherever possible and show allegiance to the Patriots in all that we do.
